In the sea of creatives, builders, and investors looking to make it in the era of Web3, finding like-minded groups of people looking to strengthen each other, is a blessing. Lately, we’ve been covering the topic of DAOs and what they mean to the future of NFTs. What project is better to highlight then than MyOwnVerse; a fantastic community of creators and developers building in the enterverse and currently making the transition into an artist and investor-driven DAO.

This is a project we’ve had the pleasure of watching grow over the last year, and we’re continuously amazed by how this community continues to flourish and expand. From starting out with simple galleries with a few different sizes, they’re now offering everything from assets and objects for customizing your verse, to a thriving Discord community, and now the newly launched token MyOwnToken with the purpose of impacting the development of the project. The verses can be used to exhibit NFTs in a lively and customizable setting. During our attendance at Tons Of Rock, we had the pleasure of inviting festival-goers into a custom gallery by MyOwnVerse, showcasing art, as well as multiple fun activities that could be experienced in the verse:

A lot is happening in MyOwnVerse these days, and it’s about time we take a deep dive into what this project is all about - from who’s behind it to how MyOwnToken will play a role in the ecosystem. Let’s find out!

In its essence, what is MyOwnVerse about?

MyOwnVerse is about pushing boundaries and vision. Combining art with technology to present creativity in new and interesting ways! MOV is a community-made metaverse project. We are a DAO under construction created by a group of artists and developers who got together to create and deliver digital content and assets in the NFT space.

The project can be divided into 3 key sections:

The first one is the Experience: The metaverse you can travel through and explore various art exhibitions, interesting experiences, and in the future also play games in. The Multiplayer function allows you to experience MOV together with your friends.

The second is our NFTs: You can buy your own Verse as an NFT, as well as game assets to upgrade and customize your Verse. Artists and developers are brought together into a creative process to build a huge collection of assets and ready-designed worlds.

The third is our DAO: This is where we collaborate as a project and build both 3D worlds and assets with our community. Our structure will allow all participants to have a chance to suggest changes and vote for the best solutions to shape the future of the project. Both creators and investors will feel that they are a big part of the project.

What is your vision?

To create ultimate creative freedom for artists in the digital NFT space. To build a space where every creative idea will meet interest and support to bring it forth in full potential. To show that the individual skill set does not have to limit our creations, but instead with the power of the collective mind, the only limit is our imagination. To build a huge metaverse full of art, creative experiences, and astonished users.

We’d love to hear a bit about your team and experience in the NFT space and beyond!

Our team is our community. We collaborate in creation but we also have a core team that develops the foundation and has more responsibility in the project. We are a group of creative people who got interested in the NFT space the second we heard about it. We found out that this was the technology we were waiting for and that could make our vision possible on a larger scale - the vision of building a community around creative expression, supporting artists and encouraging collaboration on ambitious projects. The focus on communities in the NFT space was very inspiring for us because we used to be community builders ourselves, and after understanding the possibilities of the technology, it was evident that we had to build something special. 

The team has worked in VR technology before, creating spaces and experiences for VR users. The enter team commissioned a VR gallery from us to make an interactive showcase during the Tons Of Rock festival in Norway. It was a big-scale experience where people visiting the “NFT Temple” could jump in and see a gallery full of NFTs from several enter.art artists in Virtual Reality.

What does community or community building mean to you?

It means everything! It's in a group of different individuals who are interested in the same topic as ourselves where we can learn, share, explore and evolve into masters of our crafts. Our project is rooted in creating a community of Web3 developers and artists with a common goal. It gives everyone involved the feeling of belonging where they are appreciated for both who they are and what they contribute.

 
You’ve been building in the enterverse since the beginning - how has your experience been so far?

The split payment system and collaboration feature in the enter ecosystem is a major part of why MOV even became possible for us to create. We could design an economical ecosystem to favour the artist/creator, which became the foundation of this project. We continue to expand our presence on the enter platforms with our collections of digital assets and NFT galleries. We have enjoyed being a part of the enterverse since the beginning, and collaborating with many awesome artists has been a fun experience we look forward to continuing in the future.

On that note, can you tell us a bit about your collections on enter.art?

We are in the process of building a collection of assets in the form of NFTs on enter.art. They are community-made products for enhancing our metaverse experiences. First of all, we have a growing collection of NFT galleries that are 3D spaces created to showcase NFT art pieces, both in 2D and 3D. We have created a varied set of galleries from small rooms to big and interesting spaces like city-like worlds with moving platforms or underwater vaults.

In every gallery, the owner can add many different assets. We already made several collections with assets and continue to expand. For example, you could choose one of the skyboxes to set the atmosphere of your world with the sky matching your style. Lately, we have added a multiplayer feature to all our verses and made a collection of characters to choose from. We also have collections of sculptures and portals to add to your own verse. Finally we collaborated with several musicians who made atmospheric music that can add a lot to the experience. Our collections will grow and we look forward to adding more of them in the near future.

The topic of utilities is all the rage - What utilities do your NFTs have?

The utilities of our NFTs are mainly that we mint products and not speculation. First of all, our 3D spaces are a perfect way to display art, which would benefit artists as an additional way to promote their work. Physical artists usually pay a lot to rent spaces to showcase their art in galleries and exhibitions.

We give the artists ownership and creative user rights to their own spaces. Attached in our NFTs, you will find the 3D file of the Verse or object, which can be further customized and/or enhanced in any 3D software. With our collections of assets, artists and art collectors can customize their worlds and make them extra interesting and personal.

All NFTs we create, including readily customized galleries, can be resold further with the proof of ownership that NFT technology provides.

How do you define success in Web3?

Our success in Web3 would mean joining together the most important aspects of it in one well-organized and lively project. It would require using blockchain technology and token-based economics to bring decentralization where everyone could feel an important part of the whole. Creating our project as a DAO is for us an opportunity to make sure that everyone will have an influence on where the project is heading. Bringing together creators, developers, artists, and investors in one common goal are what we see as success in the space.

You’ve recently launched a new piece of the puzzle, MyOwnToken - what do we need to know about it?

MyOwnToken will play a big role in the MyOwnVerse ecosystem. We built the tokenomics to incentivize storing over selling and using voting power to weigh in on the biggest decisions of our project, the development.

Our first mission with the token is to gather 10k USD in BNB reflections with the Project Resource Wallet. Every month we achieve this, we will activate the MOV Build-a-Ton and use the reflected funds as rewards for developers and artists that participate.

Investors will be able to use their MOT to propose and vote on categories for the Build-a-Ton.

In the future, token holders will be able to propose and vote on specific fund allocation.

What is MOV Build-a-Ton and how can artists participate in it?

MOV Build-a-Ton will be an event run on our Discord server. Its main purpose will be to build a ton of new features, improve our foundation and expand our asset library. It will be open to Web3 and game developers, 3D artists and NFT creators, who can participate in several different categories. Both individuals and teams are accepted in the event. 

Examples of categories we would like to have in our first Build-a-Ton could be developing more Web3 integrations for our Verses, creating the best skybox or NFT gallery. The event will last several weeks and the best entries will receive rewards in BNB and MOT. The prize pool of $10k will be distributed across winners in all categories. This way we will improve our foundation and asset library by giving creators a chance to get creative and earn good prizes.
