Meet the artist: TRXD
In this week's artist highlight, we’re meeting multi-million streaming producer and songwriter TRXD to have a chat about what inspires him, and what to expect when he is stopping by enter.audio sessions tonight..
With enter.blog meet the artist, we aim to inspire people to observe and create art and music by meeting with the amazing creators you find on enter.art and enter.audio. In this week's artist highlight, we’re meeting multi-million streaming producer and songwriter TRXD AKA David Atarodiyan from Norway.
David spends most of his time in music studios in his hometown of Oslo or abroad. Whether he is working alone or with other artists, he is extremely prolific with several projects on the go, as well as working with others or performing live in Oslo clubs, where he might just take some unreleased music or some remixes for a spin to see how the crowd reacts.
Through his experience of working with a broad range of artists, he has developed a rare ability to navigate through different genres. The works he is sharing on enter.audio is 100% David. Make sure to give his profile a visit, where he plans to mint everything from chill out lofi beats to dark house music, as well as loops and samples for other producers to use.
We were honoured to have him as a part of the very first weeks of enter.audio, and thrilled that he will be sharing a special mix for the enter community in enter.audio session this coming Friday.
We’ve had a quick chat with TRXD to warm you up..
How long have you been making music?
For maybe nine years now, but professionally for five years.
You’ve quickly gotten established in the music scene both in Norway and abroad. How did you get into music production?
I was at a friend's house randomly one night. We were drinking and chilling, and he said that he had got a music software and some music equipment. We spent the whole night just making beats and having fun, and I was sold after that. There was no turning back after that point. I went home and got myself a software and a keyboard.
What daw and equipment do you prefer to work with?
I work in Ableton, but used to work in Logic. I usually love to be creative while playing too loud.. I can get far with just a computer and a keyboard.
“Making music is about focus, motivation and – most of all – passion! I love every aspect of making and performing music, and how it can impact and improve lives."
What do you love about making music?
I love the feeling of «now». Every note you hit and every beat you play. Its creativity and art by just grooving and being in the present.
What is your greatest success story as a musician?
The first song I ever released went double platinum in Norway. I had no idea if this was normal for every release or not. I later found out it’s not, haha. It was such a crazy start in my music career. I am forever grateful.
What are your plans for the future with your music projects?
Keep grinding and keep evolving. I really love the house stuff that is going on right now. Possible to make stuff more dark and vibey like the mix I made for you guys.
Sounds perfect for a Friday night, we can’t wait to hear it! Can we expect some old goodies, or have you got something new up your sleeve?
You will be hearing a sneak peak into the future..
