You asked for it, now we are bringing it to you; The multi minter is finally here!

This feature is by far the most advanced update we have pushed on enter.art, which is why we would love to explain to everyone the details of this fundamental part of enter.art, which will also play a vital role in enter.audio

What makes this such an important update?

The minting aspect

While this might not be the most visually wowing feature we have launched so far, it is game changing for how artists and collectors can use enter.art from now on. With the multi minter you now have the opportunity to:

  • Mint 1-20 000 editions of the same NFT
  • Create series with different rarities (Ex. Legendary 1/1 , Rare 10/10 , Common 100/100)
  • Mint all of the NFTs in one transaction

This is perfect for anyone dabbling in collectibles, trading cards and the like. The possibility to create series with different rarities is also helpful for any artist wanting to brand themselves differently, giving them an opportunity to play with different price ranges and meeting different customer needs. Flexibility and branding is everything in the NFT world, and we are thrilled to be able to also provide this aspect on our platforms.

The royalty aspect

Another important feature that comes along with the new contract is the opportunity to collaborate and split royalties with your colleagues or even with your favorite charity organisation without doing any math or transferring any money!

  • You can now split the $NFTART payment across several BSC wallets.
  • Perfect for collaborations!
  • Donate parts of the profits to another artist, user, charity, burn wallet or more.

Seeing how many artists have found each other and chosen to collaborate via our Discord community, we are thrilled to finally be able to provide a safe solution for sharing profits. Even cooler, you can share them exactly how you would like, and the percentages and payments are fixed for you, so that you can focus on what you do best: Creating art. This is also perfect for doing transparent donations to any charity or wallet you would like.

How can you use the multi minter?

As usual, the process of using the site is quite simple and self explanatory. However, it might be practical to know that your regular single edition minting is now called “single edition” (who would have thought?). The “multi-edition”-button is the multi minter feature! When choosing this while minting, you can choose any number up to 20.000, and of course how high you want your royalties to be, as per usual.

For collaborations and split royalties, you can choose to enable collaborators. Here you can choose as many as you would like and make the split any way you like. If you have been the main contributor to a piece, it might be natural to take most of the royalties yourself and distribute the rest evenly to other collaborators. This is perhaps most interesting for music producers and labels, where such a royalty split is fairly common.

Technical aspects - Why did the update take so long to roll out?

All NFTs on enter.art were minted with a smart contract called BEP-721. It’s a perfect contract for simple NFTs, but it is unfortunately limited to single editions. The contract also limits possibilities of split royalties and collaborations.

Therefore, for the multi minter feature, we had to switch contracts completely. The new smart contract, BEP-1155, opens up opportunities for multiple editions, but also other features like loot boxes, trading cards, split royalties and the like. You can see it as an upgraded BEP-721 contract, with much less restrictions.

It has been a heavy, but extremely important switch, not only for enter.art, but for all our upcoming platforms like enter.audio and enter.games.

For the users of enter, this won't affect the design or flow of the site, but it opens a massive door of opportunity for all creators in the ecosystem when it comes to how you can mint and sell your NFTs, both by yourself and with your artistic partners.

An important sidenote, for those particularly interested in $NFTART:
This contract change will NOT affect the NFTART token. The contract change is only for the contract used for the NFT smart contracts on enter.

We hope you like the new features, and can’t wait to see all the creative use cases in the coming times. Enjoy!
